Making your website easy to read and understand is crucial. People want to find information quickly. Organizing your website copy and content using headlines, bullet points and short paragraphs that are easy to read will help.

6. COLORS

7. FONTS

Your information should be easy to find, but your website copy and content should also be easy to read. Make sure you use no more than 3 different typefaces to keep your web design and visual hierarchy streamlined.

8. IMAGES & MEDIA

They say a picture is worth 1,000 words, but the statement is only true if you use the right images. Make sure you use high quality images to represent your brand and consider using infographics, videos and other graphic elements to boost the professional look of your website.

9. LOADING TIME

Web design is not all about graphics. A good web designer should know how to make a website load fast. Visitors don’t have the time or the will to wait for a website to load. Unless you find a way to speed up your web pages, potential clients could leave in search for your competition.

10. SIMPLICITY

Too many flashy elements that distract a user from what’s important does not make a good website. Simplicity is everything when the purpose of your website is to encourage your visitors to click the right buttons and help them convert. Make sure you keep your design simple so users can navigate easily on your website.
